First Australian Deployment of DTPR Launches

The Digital Trust for Places and Routines (DTPR) standard is being piloted at Sydney Olympic Park

We’re excited to announce the latest deployment of DTPR and the first in Australia! Helpful Places has begun working with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) to help them pilot DTPR over the coming months. SOPA is responsible for managing the 640 hectares that comprise Sydney Olympic Park, a legacy of the 2000 Summer Olympics and home to many of its venues, that now sees over 14 million visitors a year.

As part of their 2050 Vision & Strategy, the Authority has plans for Sydney Olympic Park to be a living laboratory for urban innovation — a place for new technologies and approaches to be trialed and piloted for the benefit of Greater Sydney and NSW and future generations. DTPR will enable people to become aware of and provide feedback on these technologies.

The deployment has started with signs for SOPA’s existing closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, which are used for public safety and security monitoring within the Park. Additional DTPR signage for more technologies will soon begin to appear across Sydney Olympic Park, so stay tuned for more updates.
