Helpful Places’ President, Jackie, headed down to SXSW in Austin this past weekend as a finalist in this year’s Civic I/O competition hosted by the US Conference of Mayors. We were one of six organizations selected for the final pitch competition. While we didn’t win the cash prize, it was a thrill to meet the other pitching organizations (congrats to Trisha Prabhu of ReThink!) and to share what DTPR is all about to nearly two dozen mayors of American cities.
